  • In this workshop we will cover the features of the software application ScreenSteps. Participants will learn how to create a lesson/tutorial using ScreenSteps and publish their document either as a pdf, word, blog or webpage.

    Time Zone Converter



  • Blogging for Beginners is a course designed for the new to classroom blogger. Students will create a blog hosted at Weebly. The trainers will walk participants through the process of setting up a blog and the basics of blogging. Trainers will provide support to participants covering the following concepts - reading and writing a blog post, adding images, embedding video, what RSS feed is, and using a feed reader to monitor blog posts and comments.

  • This course will cover the benefits of blogging in the classroom. Participants will create a classroom blog using Weebly for Education. Classroom management, user management, parent permission and content ideas will make up the 1 hour session.

  • Twitter for Beginners is designed for people new to using Twitter. The course will cover the basics of using Twitter to connect with others. The trainers will walk the participants through the process of setting up a Twitter account and sending tweets to followers. The use of TweetDeck to manage Twitter feeds and tweets will be featured in the course.

  • Working with Wikis course is designed for those new to using wikis. Trainers will walk the participants through the process of setting up a wiki at Wikispaces (http://www.wikispaces.com). Trainers will provide an overview of the features of a Wikispaces wiki. The course will be split into three one hour sessions for a $30 USD flat fee. Ways to use wikis and add content to the newly created wiki will be discussed in parts II and III with part I serving as the introduction to wikis.
